InfoAus keeps pressure on the government to improve budget transparency. The introduction of hypothecated tax receipts to the taxpayer is one example of improvements in information provided to the public.
InfoAus also works to encourage the government to provide information in file formats suitable for publications to use in databases so we can provide information in easily searchable and understood websites. The decision to publish budget data in usable formats is another example of what this kind of pressure has accomplished.
InfoAus receives a lot of public praise as I am performing a valuable public service by increasing government transparency and public access to information that affects Australians. If you would like this service to continue and grow in strength please visit the InfoAus shop on CafePress and purchase a t-shirt or other item. Some items are branded others are not and $10 from each purchase goes to InfoAus or you can donate direct to my bank account.
